What is Soft Washing

Soft Washing is a low-pressure clean that lets the cleaning solution do the work, not the pressure.

A targeted solution is applied to the surface and given time to break down mould, salt film, and grime at the root. It is then rinsed away under controlled low pressure. Because the solution does the lifting, the home is cleaned without high-pressure water being forced behind cladding, under paint, or across render and other delicate finishes.

A typical house wash covers:

  • Walls and eaves, including mould, salt film, cobwebs, and general build-up.
  • Gutter and fascia faces, and other high, visible edges.
  • Exterior glass and flyscreens, so the whole frontage lifts together.
  • Roof washing, scoped where staining affects presentation.

Left untreated, right cleaned. The right method lifts build-up without damaging the surface.

Why Soft Washing matters

Most exterior surfaces do not need harsh pressure, and on the wrong surface that pressure does lasting damage.

High-pressure water can strip paint, etch render, drive moisture into wall cavities, and leave marks that are slow and expensive to put right. Soft Washing treats the cause instead of scouring the surface, so the home looks clean and stays protected. It also tends to stay cleaner for longer, because the mould and algae are killed at the root rather than simply knocked off the surface.

When to choose Soft Washing

Soft Washing is the right method when the surface is painted, rendered, or clad, and the problem is organic or coastal.

That covers most homes across Yamba, Maclean, and Grafton: mould, salt, humidity staining, cobwebs, and the shaded green growth that dulls street appeal. It suits walls, eaves, gutters, and fascias, and it pairs naturally with exterior window cleaning, driveway and path washing, and roof treatment where staining shows from the street. Where a surface genuinely needs mechanical cleaning, such as concrete, pavers, or heavily soiled hard surfaces, we switch to pressure cleaning instead. The method is matched to the surface rather than forcing one approach across the whole property.

Best suited to:

  • Painted homes and render.
  • Cladding and fibre cement.
  • Eaves, gutters, and fascias.
  • Coastal salt film and shaded green growth.
